Hidalgo, Texas (December 23, 2011)– It's official. Disney Star Demi Lovato will perform at BorderFest 2012. The award-winning festival, now in its 36th year, will take place on the grounds of State Farm Arena on March 1-4, 2012.
Demi Lovato is a talented singer, songwriter, musician, and actress who rose to fame on Disney's Camp Rock, and later as Sonny Munroe in the hit Disney sitcom Sonny with a Chance. She launched her solo musical career with her debut album entitled Don't Forget on September 23, 2008 under Disney's Hollywood Records. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, selling over 89,000 copies in the first week. With such hits as "Get Back", "La La Land", and "Don't Forget", the album has earned a gold certification in the U.S.
Lovato's second album Here We Go Again, was released on July 21, 2009. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 108,000 copies in the first week. The title track "Here We Go Again" peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Her most recent studio album Unbroken was released this past fall. The lead single "Skyscraper" reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her highest peaking solo single to date.
Lovato will share an intimate evening with her fans at BorderFest on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Full details about the concert will be announced, along with other acts, at a press conference after the first of the year.
