ATLANTA, GA  – Atlanta’s Philips Arena continues its 10-year streak of being consistently ranked as one of the world’s top venues in Pollstar magazine’s Top 100 Worldwide Arena Venues. For the 2009 calendar year, Philips Arena has been named as the No. 4 concert and events venue in the United States, based on attendance figures released by the leading industry publication in its January 15th edition. The rankings include attendance for concerts and other shows hosted by Philips Arena from January 1, 2009, to December 31, 2009.

This year marks the 10-year anniversary for Philips Arena and upcoming events for Philips Arena in 2010 that have been announced include The Black Eyed Peas (Feb. 4), George Strait & Reba McEntire (Feb. 25), Jay-Z (Feb. 27), Jon Mayer (Mar. 17), Bon Jovi (Apr. 15), and Nickelback (Apr. 21).

Named for founding partner Philips, Philips Arena is consistently ranked among the top concert and event arenas in the world. In April 2009, Philips Arena became the first NBA or NHL arena to achieve LEED certification for an existing building as specified by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
