HAWKS AND STATE FARM ARENA ANNOUNCE NEW FOOD OPTIONS INTEGRATING THE BEST ASPECTS OF SOUTHERN CUISINE AND ATLANTA’S VIBRANT CULTURE
Thirteen New Items, Curated by Chief Culinary Officer Chef G. Garvin and Hospitality Partner Levy, Are Available At the Award-Winning Downtown Atlanta Venue
ATLANTA – Following the first home game of the regular season, the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena today announced the addition of new menu items available to all fans and concertgoers. Infused with passion for home-grown flavors, guests can anticipate delicious cooking that pays homage to the refined tastes of the South. Led by the organization’s Chief Culinary Officer, Chef G. Garvin and hospitality partner, Levy, the award-winning downtown venue seamlessly integrates the best aspects of Southern cuisine and Atlanta’s vibrant culture.
“We have an incredible culinary team here, and we pride ourselves on using the best local ingredients and providing all of our guests with restaurant quality meals.” said Chef G. Garvin, Chief Culinary Officer for the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena. “We’ve raised the standard of what arena food could be and our patrons expect a certain level of quality. Our goal is to continue making elevated food so that every guest who visits our venue enjoys their meal. We know that a satisfying meal is such an important part of any great night out.”
Fans and concertgoers across State Farm Arena can also enjoy a selection of new signature food options that will join fan favorites like the popular hand-breaded chicken tenders and scratch-made pizza. These items include:
- BBQ Smashburger: Fresh smashburger patty topped with crispy onion rings, spicy pepperjack cheese, crisp shredded Iceberg lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, tangy BBQ sauce on a Vidalia onion bun. Located at section 107.
- Black Bean Burger: A spicy vegetarian black bean, pepper and onion patty topped with lettuce, tomato and cilantro aioli on a warm Challah bun. Located at sections 118, 211, and 221.
- Blue Cheese Smashburger: Seasoned smashburger patty served with a creamy blue cheese shmear, crispy smoked bacon and caramelized onions on a Vidalia onion bun. Located at section 107.
- Chicken Cheesesteak Sandwich: Thinly shaved, perfectly cooked chicken breast topped with sauteed yellow onions, melty white American cheese on a crusty hoagie roll. Located at section 120.
- Cookies and Cream Milkshake: Hand spun, indulgent milkshake with cookie crumbles served with whipped cream and delectable cookie topping. Located at sections 108 and 214.
- Gourmet Jumbo Pretzel: Fresh baked giant Bavarian pretzel, served with a choice of three house-made dipping sauces: pub-style beer cheese, sweet and spicy wholegrain mustard or cream cheese frosting. Located at section 119.
- Jerk Chicken Sandwich: 24-hour spicy and savory jerk marinated Springer Mountain Farms’ chicken thigh served with sweet mango slaw, fried plantains and cilantro aioli on a Challah bun. Located at sections 118 and 211.
Zac Brown’s Social Club, located between sections 112 and 115, will also roll out new menu items. Zac Brown, the three-time GRAMMY-Award winning, multi-platinum front man of the Zac Brown Band curates the Zac Brown Social Club neighborhood in partnership with the Hawks. These culinary offerings will include:
- Blue Cheese Chips: Crispy house fried russet potato kettle chips smothered in creamy blue cheese sauce, finished with blue cheese crumbles and green onions.
- Chimichurri Steak Sandwich: Grilled ribeye, sauteed peppers and onions, melted provolone cheese, crispy shoestring potatoes and chimichurri sauce served on a crusty hoagie roll.
- Mac n Cheeseburger: Hickory grilled all-beef patty topped with three-cheese macaroni, pickled onion, smoked bacon and tangy BBQ sauce served on a warm pretzel bun.
- Open Pit BBQ Ribs: Six-hour smoked baby back ribs, tangy BBQ sauce served with pickled onions.
- Peach Hand Pie: Crispy pie dough filled with peach pie filling, topped with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with caramel sauce.
- Soy Ginger Glazed Salmon: Wood grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon filet, house pickled cucumbers served with spicy chili crisps.
